Entrusted, the Jiangsu International Science and Technology Cooperation Association undertook the course design and organization of the training. With the theme of sustainable development in the new era, this training and investigation will adhere to the mission of “Aspiration, See the World, and Great Feelings”. Through the gradual and in-depth experience observation of the American cultural education base Boston and the sacred place of technological innovation San Francisco, the trainees In the new era, through opening to the outside world, practice innovation to solve the problem of sustainable development has a new height of understanding. At home, the students studied systematically at the Business School of Nanjing University, and visited the Jiangsu Institute of Industrial Technology and Suning Headquarters; abroad, the students studied at MIT Sloan School of Business and the University of California, Berkeley, Haas The business school conducted special studies and conducted on-site teaching at the headquarters of Hewlett-Packard and Apple in Silicon Valley.

1. Domestic training arrangements and key points

In late August 2018, a 6-day training was conducted at the Gulou Campus of Nanjing University, mainly focusing on the current domestic and international economic situation, high-tech development trend and human resource management, etc., and visited the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute and Suning Group Headquarters. The training at Nantah University has both theoretical height and time to practice. Hong Yinxing, former secretary of the Nantah Party Committee and senior professor of humanities and social sciences at Nantah, gave a lecture on "Responding to Trade Wars with Development"; Feng Xiqing, a member of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Expert Committee of the Ministry of Education and an expert member of the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Industry Alliance Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, gave a "New Ideas for Enterprise Financing" Lecture; Shen Zongjun, former Huawei human resource management expert, general manager of Tuniu Human Resource Center, and current chief consultant of Nanjing Huaman Human Resource Consulting Co., Ltd., gave a lecture on "Huawei Human Resource Management Practice"; Deputy Director of the Department of Computer Technology, Nanjing University Gao Yang, deputy director of the artificial intelligence teaching and research section, director of the Chinese Association of Artificial Intelligence, professor and PhD supervisor, gave a lecture on "The Development of Artificial Intelligence Technology and Its Innovative Application in Manufacturing"; "333" talent in Jiangsu Province, professor of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Nanjing University , Doctoral supervisor Dou Wanchun gave a lecture on "Big Data and Enterprise Management Innovation"; Liu Houjun, former party secretary, professor, PhD supervisor, and current executive director of the China World Economics Association of Nanjing University School of Business, made "Analysis of the Macroeconomic and Financial Situation under the New Normal" And China-US Trade Friction" lecture; Professor Pang Shaotang of the School of Government of Nanjing University and PhD supervisor gave a lecture on "Chinese Military Thought"; Zhu Feng, a distinguished professor of Nanjing University and executive director of the China South China Sea Collaborative Innovation Research Center, gave a strategic thinking on the "Belt and Road Initiative" ".

What impressed the students the most was the lectures given by Professor Hong Yinxing and Mr. Shen Zongjun. Professor Hong Yinxing pointed out that the essence of the Sino-US trade war is that the United States wants to contain China's innovation and rise. The main measures taken by the United States are: 1. Raising import tariffs to contain China's market; 2. Blocking the export of US high-tech products to China; 3. Increasing the cost of Chinese enterprises and reducing their competitiveness. In addition to countering tariffs, our countermeasures should (1) rely on expanding domestic demand to break market barriers; (2) rely on innovation to break the technological blockade; (3) reduce costs to enhance corporate vitality. In the next stage, my country’s development priorities should be: (1) Intensify efforts to "make up for shortcomings" in the field of infrastructure; (2) Reduce costs for enterprises; (3) Promote rural revitalization strategies; (4) Expand opening and greatly relax the market Access. Huawei is a world-class enterprise that my country is proud of. In 2017, its sales reached 603.6 billion yuan and its net profit was 47.5 billion yuan. The core of Huawei's values is "customer-centered and struggling-oriented". Huawei's corporate culture is mainly: customer success, hard work, self-criticism, openness and enterprising, teamwork. In addition, there are military culture, craftsman culture, wolf culture, and horse racing culture. Huawei's human resource management system focuses on four aspects: selection---recruitment management; education---training development; use---performance management; retention---remuneration recognition. The selection of cadres has the principle of "three priorities", that is, cadres are selected from successful teams first, and cadres are selected from the main battlefield, frontline, and difficult areas; cadres are selected from key events that affect the company's long-term development. Horse racing culture is to inspect cadres from the top 25% of the fastest runners, while also leaving opportunities for the "little horses". In addition, Zhu Feng, a distinguished professor of Nanjing University, gave a lecture on "One Belt and One Road: Goals, Plans and Challenges", and a lecture on "Development of Artificial Intelligence Technology and Its Innovative Applications in Manufacturing" by Professor Gao Yang, Deputy Director of the Computer Department of Nanjing University, and other The lectures given by the teacher broadened everyone's horizons and were deeply enlightened.

2. Key points of overseas training arrangements

Foreign training is arranged at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Business in Boston, on the east coast of the United States, and the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, in San Francisco on the west coast of the United States. On-site teaching was conducted at the HP headquarters. The Sloan School of Business training is organized around the theme of "Sustainable Business Development Strategy". This innovative three-day training program uniquely applies the MIT process improvement and system dynamics framework to the topic of sustainable development to help trainees to master both the micro and macro levels after participating in the training. Real strategies and tactics that embody consensus and change. There, we listened to Professor John Sterman "State of The World-Systems Thinking", Professor Jason Jay "Fishbank Simulation", Professor Roberto Rigobon "Make it a commitment to sustainable development" “Making it Personal-Leadership for Sustainability Commitments” (Making it Personal-Leadership for Sustainability Commitments), Professor Zeynep Ton “Social Sustainability and The Good Jobs Strategy”, Professor David Autor “What is the future job?” is The Work of heFuture)" and other courses. These courses mainly describe the current status of the world of sustainable development, and how to achieve sustainable development methods and paths.

MIT did a more interesting survey. According to the daily habits of students, if everyone on the earth is the same as us, then about 4 earths would be needed to sustainably maintain, and if according to the living habits of the students in the future Calculation, about 4.6 land

ball. According to the history of Maya and Easter Island civilization, the disappearance of civilization seems to be the same as a cliff. Once it reaches the limit that the natural world can bear, it will collapse almost overnight. For the future of ourselves and future generations, we need to think about how to be more sustainable

Continued development.

                                                       The necessary conditions for sustainability

Professor Sterman also used the main building of the Sloan School of Business, which started construction in 2000, as an example to explain the concept of sustainable development of green buildings. At that time, the school had a heated discussion about whether to build green buildings, and finally split into two groups, one supporting the construction of green buildings, and the other supporting the construction of ordinary buildings. At that time, the concept of green building was very advanced, and because the technology had not fully met the requirements, many professors were not very accepting. Professor Sterman finally presented a set of data on green buildings. The construction cost increased by US$ 2.28 million. However, due to green energy saving, the investment in energy supply facilities was reduced by US$ 1.94 million. The actual additional investment was only US$ 340,000, which only accounted for the entire building construction cost. Of 0.25 percentage points. In 2012, the building saved US$560,000 in energy costs, and the extra construction cost can be recovered in 7 months. The capillary heating system, the lights and curtains controlled by sensors, seem to increase some costs, but it greatly reduces the energy consumption of air conditioning and lighting. The vivid explanations in the class made Ni Xiaoyu and Mo Ruoli visited the MIT campus the next day, specifically to visit and learn about this green building.

The most impressive thing at MIT is the course fish banks. I mainly used a simulation software of MIT to allow students to simulate ocean fishing and feel the importance of sustainable development through actual combat. The students were divided into groups of three to simulate the establishment of a fishing company to fish in the designated sea area. There is no communication between the sea area and the sea area. There will be five fishing companies in each sea area. The goal of the game is that at the end of the game, the winner is the one who gets the most net worth. Before the game starts, each student pays one dollar, and the team that wins the game gets all the money. The specific game rules are:

Net assets are composed of the company’s account balance and the fleet assets owned by it.

The source of income can be divided into three parts. One is to sell the caught fish, and the price of all fish is the same. The second is the 2% interest income from bank deposits. The third is income from selling ships through auction. The auction is conducted between different companies in the same sea area.

There are four parts to the cost. One is that the boat stops at the port, and there are different costs for going to the coastline to fish and going to the deep sea. The second is the cost of buying a new ship, 300 yuan per new ship. The boat booked this year will be available next year. The maximum number of boats booked is equal to half of the number of fleets you own, progressively upwards, which means that if you have seven boats, you can book up to four boats. The third is to buy a ship through auction, and the ship can be bought immediately without quantity restriction. Fourth, bank loans are available, and the loan interest rate is 5%.

The situation at the beginning of each team is the same. The fishing efficiency of the fleet diminishes on the margin, and each boat can catch a limit of fish.

Through the software interface, you can clearly see the various data of each ship, cash, assets and so on. You can also see the net profit you can make from fishing in different sea areas.

In the case of fish reproduction, as shown in the figure, the reproduction capacity of a certain number of fish will reach its peak. If the number of fish is too small, the base is insufficient, which will affect the reproduction capacity of the fish. Too much means insufficient natural resources, and also affects the reproduction ability of fish.

Different companies in the same sea area can communicate with each other, make agreements or discuss strategies with each other. Before you start, think about your own fishing strategy.

                                                                         Fish reproduction diagram

At the beginning of the game, we can see through the software interface that fishing in the deep sea can make the most money. Most teams will not hesitate to send all the fleets to the deep sea to fish. The more boats, the more money they make. Most of the teams went crazy to buy ships at the auction market. In the first five rounds, those with the most ships and the most aggressive companies made the most money and got the most net assets. At the beginning, all the fishing companies in the class did not discuss cooperation and competition strategies with each other, and even conceal their true strategies from each other.

After five rounds, we found through the software interface that the money earned by each boat in the deep sea did not make much money in offshore fishing. Everyone swarmed all the boats offshore to fish. At this time, some groups have realized that one day all the fish in the offshore waters will be caught if this continues. Some groups are slowing down their order of new ships, and some groups will go to the market to sell their own ships, but in general In other words, the auction price is still higher than the market price of the ship, and the volume of ship transactions is not large.

The game continued, and everyone found that offshore fishing was no longer profitable, because the fish in the offshore waters were all caught by everyone, so everyone had to park the boat in the port, and the boats in the port also lost money every year. At this time, everyone was crazy to sell their boats on the auction market, but no one took it. The various groups also began to discuss with each other, asking each other to formulate sustainable development strategies, not to swarm, where to fish where there are more fish. But it is too late, because once the number of fish drops to zero, it is difficult to reproduce. At this time, every group is losing money every year. The more boats they own, the more money they lose.

                                                              Fish Banks group simulation

At the end of the game, the group that does not develop to a certain level and controls the number of fleets wins. Finally, the professor shared with us some real-world cases, similar to our simulation game. When different countries were fishing in the same sea area, they all took care of themselves at the beginning, and only started to cooperate with each other when they found no fish to catch. But fortunately, there are many types of fish in the real world, and there are many in number, which will give people the chance to make mistakes and reflect.

Professor Zeynep Ton described the strategy of sustainable social development and "good jobs". Traditionally, in order to reduce costs, companies will find ways to reduce labor costs. The measures taken are often to reduce wages and reduce the number of people. This may have an effect at the beginning, but it is not sustainable. After a period of time, the employee’s sense of responsibility will cause costs. The problem worsened, causing both sales and profits to decline, resulting in a cycle of bad management systems. The results of this cycle will hurt: investors, customers, employees, and ultimately affect the sustainable development of society.

The basic needs that work should have provided employees include satisfactory wages and bonuses, clear time and career planning, and safety and health protection. If a company's working hours are uncertain, work is not harmonious, and the company does not have a cohesive atmosphere, all these come from disrespect for employees, which makes the company in a long-term emergency "fire fighting" state.

The professor told two cases to explain how to build one
